I looked up a lot of tutorials about how to use acryl paint. But most of the video's or instructions i found is about techniques like shades or blending in the colors. I just need a red vibrant color. Is acryl paint still the best choice for this mural?
I want to paint a red character on a yellow wall. Is acryll paint the best choice?

Of all the pigments out there, Red is probably the strongest pigment. It should go over a yellow wall just fine.
Acrylic paint is water based and you can change the consistency by adding water to it if it is too thick to apply with a brush or difficult to work with. In the auto industry, it is best to use the same kind of paint on your base coat as your top coat meaning, if you use acrylic for the base coat use acrylic for the top coat for a better bind. If you use enamel for the base, use enamel for the top coat. I assume the same rule applies when painting on a wall. I am sure you can mix the media but the longevity of the design will be determined by the type of paints used.
I have had huge success painting on multiple surfaces with acrylic paint but acrylic is not as long lasting as enamel. Acrylic is easier to wash off your hands with water and soap as enamel will usually require some sort of solvent such as paint thinner in order to wash the paint off your body.
My method for painting on walls was with an airbrush and spray gun, not a paint brush. I tend to use enamel with a brush and acrylic when using my airbrush as it is much more difficult to clean oil based paints out of an airbrush or paintbrush as acrylic.
I hope this answers your question.
