I want to make my career in photography?

I am not sure what being from a middle class family has to do with it, but the first step to making a career in photography is figuring out what kind of photography you want to do. Journalism, documentary, wedding, portrait, stock, fine art, fashion… these are all very different types of photography with very different career paths. Figuring out what you want to do will point you to what people you should talk to and where to start. Working as an assistant to someone in the field you want to enter is a great starting point.
