I finally figured out what I want to do in life but I am not good at higher algebra and I have no experience with calculus or physics math but I just always had a feel for creating things of my own like something that would rival a car or a plane but just the advanced math part seems scary. I just don't want to end up failing and wasting time and money. Can someone just tell me what I should do to prepare myself and what to expect? And mechatronics is what I want to major in

That's kind of like saying you're not very athletic, but you want to be a professional baseball player.
Engineering is mostly math. And by mostly I mean about 90%. And what isn't math, is science, and logical application of science. If you don't know what Simpson's Rule is in Calculus, if you can't tell me what the number "e" is and how it was derived and why it is so important, and if you don't realize time proceeds more slowly the faster you travel, then you do not have the fundamental knowledge about what it is that makes the Universe tick.
I would say: Do something else.
Thats why i asked where do i start
