Theatre is a bigger commitment than most people think. If you land a role, you've committed to months of shows, both matinees and evening shows, depending on how many cast members are available for stand-ins.
4 months might not be a long enough time. It can take that long just to go into rehearsals as a new actor to the show.
Amateur theatre is still theatre. Best to join when you have a clear schedule, that way, you have no other commitments to worry about.
Is that the same on amateur level theatre? And I guess I'm too late, right?
