I want to buy some supplements for my family. Can I put it in my carry on bag or my checked bag?

If it is not in a liquid form, then yes you can. My mother always carries all of my families prescription medication and over the counter meds with us in her purse, and the airport never has a problem with it (we went less than six months ago). She does this incase our luggage gets lost.
