No form of contraception is 100% safe, but as long as he did not cum inside you, the risk of becoming pregnant are very very low. There may be other issues going on with regard to your IUD removal (have you replaced it ?)
Because of the UID, I strongly recommend you go to see your GP or sex clinic as soon as possible & tell them what you have said here. They will not judge you, they will just want to check things are ok health wise.
As with most problems, its best to solve them early. I will add, most things we worry about never happen & your sickness may be caused by many other things.
Better to be safe.
Take care
If you & your partner are intending on carry on practicing the withdraw method here is some more info I have given to others in previous answers.
Prior to sex & male climax, a clear fluid is emitted from the penis (pre-cumm). The purpose of this is to lubricate & neutralise the acid environment of the virgina that is destructive to sperm.
Recent studies have shown low levels of sperm are present in 40% of the men taking part. The sperm count of this level would only cause pregnancy in 1 in 40 couples who were trying for conception over a year! Of course sperm count, conception rates are not an indication of success as sperm quality, time of the monthly cycle & many other factors must be accounted for.
What is important to know is that HIV is present in pre cumm, so protected sex is safer in other ways.
Also be aware that if masturbation or sex & climax has taken place before, then live sperm may be left in the barrel of the penis & will go & enrich the pre cumm so increasing (slightly) the chances of conception. Often after climax a fella has a wee & this flushes the sperm out so a fresh & and longer lived sperm batch are ready for the hoped for 2nd's!
I hope all goes well and ask your doctor/clinic for the latest & up to date info on withdraw they may come up with other contraception methods that will suit both of you.
