So I have known a girl who i like for a few years and recently my sister who nannies her told me that she liked me. So a few days ago i texted her that I liked her and asked if she liked me (just to make sure) but she said no and hasn't talked to me since which is strange since she used to always talk to me. I was wondering what do i do? Please help!

She is probably really nervous or she is talking to someone else. Maybe she liked you at one point but never thought you liked her so she gave up and moved on... Ask her and say something like: look it's okay if you don't feel the same way about me but that doesn't mean you have to ignore me and not be my friend just don't do that to me please. Say something that will melt her heart.
She may be embarrassed. Usually when I like a guy and he finds out whether it be directly or indirectly (through somebody else, which is what happened in your case) I get really embarrassed. Honestly I would think he is teasing me, lying that he "likes me" just to make me say it. This happened to me alot. When I was in middle school many years back, the boys would play this game called Oreo. Basically it was rock paper scissors and whoever lost had to ask a girl of the winners choice to be his girlfriend. Usually they would pick the ugliest girls, and of course I was chosen alot of times :( so lots of guys would "ask me out" and i just said no to them all bc i knew it was a joke only to find out one of the guys who had asked me actually did like me. I said no bc I couldn't believe any guy could possibly be attracted to me, and unfortunately I made him cry. So this might be the case for her. She may find it hard to believe you like her. Give her some time and space to recover from your text (about 1-2 weeks) and instead of telling her you like her, show her you like her face to face rather than phone to phone. I'm not saying grab her and kiss her, just little random acts of kindness here and there. Get to know her better and be patient and eventually she can see how great you are and go for it. Good luck! ;)
