If you must have an answer and promise absolute secrecy and anonymity, politely ask them. Then keep your promise and stay a friend, or go your way, silently, being respectful of their position.

well it depends on your opinion or attitude towards if having a gay friend is okay with you then just accept him assure him that what ever is his sexuality you can still accept him but  if your not okay with having a gay friend then maybe you just need to slowly  go away from him that is if you are sure that he is a  gay but i dont see any reason why being gay is wrong
