I caught her stealing pain medication I was given after a surgery I had and drove to her house when I realized they were missing and asked her about it and she confessed about taking them. She told me how she'd been taking all sorts of different medicine's to help with pain she'd been having. I told her she needed help and we waited for her mom to come home and then we both sat down to talk with her mom about it. Since then, she's stopped making plans with me and now she won't even answer my text messages, PMs on Facebook, and phone calls. What do I do?
I think my best friend is mad at me, what do I do?

It is perfectly alright. I did NOT tell her mom. We waited together for her mother to get home and my best friend told her while I sat there because she didn't want to tell her mom alone that she had a pill-popping problem. When you have addictions like that, the best thing you can do is tell an adult or doctor so that you can get the help you need. But that can feel like a scary thing to do so I stayed with her so she wouldn't be alone. I did nothing wrong. I supported her and stayed by her side in a moment that was difficult for her. I won't apologize for helping her.
