I recently bought a truck and the loan company then charged me again almost a month later. I called them up and they told me sorry they had a glitch in the system.. Well I had payments going through that I was pissed off about but they said they would pay it back so they did but they also gave me and extra payment ( at the same time my loan is paid off in full by my new truck company. Soo can I legally keep the second over payment without paying them back now that they asked for it back???). ( I feel like if I transferred 500 to a random person they would not give it back its un transferable right)????

Its not illegal to keep it. But if theres a point in time where they for example 3 months later, call you up realizing they paid you back twice when it should been once. They probably would want that back. Perhaps maybe they will never know or ask for it back. The choice is yours. If it was me i give it back to them in case later down the road they ask for it back because I'd look stupid the day they unexpectedly call me for the money back and i don't have it. Hahaha again the choice is yours.
Sorry I did not buy the truck I sold it and paid off loan. And the loan was officially paid off and they over paid me. They called today asking for the mistake back but I feel I can screw them and be like sorry my money now????
They can't take me to collections right? I don't owe them anything and they transferred it to me by there glitch.
As I stated I don't owe them anything loan is paid full and confirmed. But they gave me it twice in sorry but iv been screwed over from them so many times I just feel that this 1000 bucks if I can legally keep is mine!
Ok thanks
