I understand your problem any girl has these type of problems including me. if you want a smaller waist you need to do exercises that focus on your stomach area. your abdominal muscles is what you need to focus on so you should try abdominal exercises that focus on the specific muscles that make up your ab complex will not get rid of your but, but they will tone and tighten the underlying muscle. also for your but you should try squat to help it stay firm. a healthy diet is also important you don't have to do a strict diet just have your diet consist fruits, vegetable and other healthy foods because you can't expect to exercise and eat junk food and get the results that you want.
Hope this Helps :)
I know they are awful but leg lifts are your friend. Lay on your back, keep your legs straight and lift your heels 3-6 inches off the floor then lift both legs at the same time, alternate legs and bicycle circles. Alternate these with Superman or swimmer. Lay on your stomach, stretch your arms out like you are Superman flying, lift your feet while keeping your legs straight then pulse (paddle) your hands/arms and feet/legs in short controlled motions up and down moving 3 to 6 inches. Leg lifts while lying on your side will also help. If you are wondering about how I would know; when I was active duty (Marine) my hips were 38 inches and my weight was 23 and I am 5'7 just like you. Don't just do sit-ups or crunches, you need to vary your workout and don't ignore the muscles in your lower back.
thank youuu so muchh! i will be trying this out!
