Hey, thanks for bothering to read this. I need to find a school. I was admitted to a psychiatric residential facility at the beginning of the school year, and since I was on the wait list for it, I never was enrolled in school for this year. I was discharged from the program in February, and I started the 10th grade right then and there. The program I was in did not have any schooling. So, understandably, I have NO idea what is going on in any of my classes. I also miss quite a bit of school due to other circumstances, although since I couldn't be caught up in class anyway, it doesn't really affect much. I should also mention that I am going to a rather small, public charter school, and the curriculum is... well, not really lining up with what it should be. This is why we (me, therapists, parents, etc.) have decided to switch to homeschooling. One problem though. We can't find a school that will allow me to enroll at this time in the year AND allow me to start at the beginning of the curriculum. So far, all that we've come up with is schools that have enrollment for the 2017-18 year open (but not for this year), or schools that DO have open enrollment for this year, but follow a schedule (i.e. when the fourth quarter starts, the class is doing fourth quarter stuff. Not helpful for someone who didn't learn anything taught in the three prior quarters.) TL;DR can somebody help me find a homeschool that has open enrollment and an adaptable curriculum (to meet me where I'm at)? I live in Minnesota, and it's been made quite clear to me that I am not allowed to drop out for the rest of the year and start fresh (even though that would PROBABLY be the best option, as it would give me time to deal with my physical and mental health without the stress of school).
