I'm 28 and he's 32. We've been together for six months and the first incident occurred about 4 months into the relationship. During an argument I told him to leave my house and he flicked a lit cigarette at me that landed on my face and left a blister. He apologized and said it was unintentional and that he didn't mean to hit me in my face with the cigarette. Next incident was today. And worse. While arguing in the car I pulled over because he snatched my phone away from me. He then threw my phone at me, picked up a Tylenol bottle that was in the seat and threw it at my face (hitting me in the mouth) then he started kicking me. After he was done he started walking. I felt bad for him walking in the cold and picked him up to give him a ride home. I was screaming a lot before he did that but all the way to his house I didn't say a word. He called to apologize but I don't know what to say. I feel like he just snapped because I was screaming and saying mean things about personal stuff he had told me. I really love this man and want to work on things but at the same time I cannot accept this type of behavior. Is there any forgiving him and moving on or should I just leave him?
I provoked my boyfriend so much that he hit me. Do I stay?
