... week I was called off to work in which I was notified by my family that they had received a letter stating a civil demand for a debt to be paid within 30 days for shoplifting. Whenever I had purchased my medication, I paid in cash. I called the Walmart I had picked it up from and the manager said she would perform her own investigation over the matter and then would call me back. She looked over the tapes and pulled my receipt from my purchase from that night. She informed me that someone had attempted to steal merchandise but was not successful in doing so but had also picked up a prescription and had gotten away before they could detain then theft. She asked me a few questions about the night such as what I was wearing that night. What baffles me is they had to of pulled my insurance information to have gotten an address on me in which it was my parents address as I do not have a permanent address due to my job with oil and gas. They called the police and had a report filed against my record. After her investigation they came to the conclusion that it couldn't have possibly been me whenever I was there at a different time than the incident and I was wrongfully accused of a crime I did not or could not have committed. Could I sue for this? Thanks
I picked up a prescription I had at my local Walmart pharmacy. I work off shore so the following?
