I'm running for student representative, but I'm not quite sure what my vision for it could be or initiatives.

I haven't attended all colleges, but I have attended a lot of them.
Who exactly asked you to list initiatives? Exactly what authority would you have if you got elected? Every place I have been, the so called student government was a debating society, thoroughly ignored by the administration and unknown to the students except at election time. If you want something of actual future value, get "Dress For Success" by John Molloy and consider his advice to students:
- Vocal skill will affect your earning power more than any other detail.
- Acting skill will get you a job offer even when you are not qualified for the job.
- The most important benefit you get from school is your address book.
- The difference between a successful person and a very successful person is that the latter knows hundreds more people, and knows them quite well.
- No school will teach you any of the above. They don't even teach how to do well in their school.
Well, for my campaign for it, I've been asked to list initiatives I'd like to work on. That's all I was asking for, was ideas. I would also like to point out that, unless you've attended every college, you can't say how colleges regard student government, because some actually do take them seriously.
