Here is the question: An angle measures 36 degrees less than twice its supplement. Find the measure of its supplement.
Could you please explain it too?
Thanks.
The supplement of an angle is 180 minus the angle. We'll call the supplement S and the angle A.
A = 2(180 - A) - 36 The angle is 36 less than twice its supplement.
A = 324 - 2A
3A = 324
A = 108
S = 180 - 108 = 72
