in an emerngncy, you have a reaction time of about 0.6 s. how far would you travel in this time on a bicycle moving at 12 ms^-1

The bike's moving at 12 m/s, so every second, the bike covers 12 metres of distance.
Your reaction time is short of one full second, so you know already that the distance you'll cover in that time will be less than 12 metres. I simply worked out how many metres would be covered in 0.1 seconds, to make my final calculation easier. to do that, I divided 12 metres by 10, and 1 second by 10, to give me 1.2 metres in 0.1 seconds. Going back to the question, the reaction time is 0.6 seconds, so I need to multiply everything by 6, to get my final answer. 6 x 0.1 seconds gives 0.6 seconds. 6 x 1.2 metres gives 7.2 metres.
thank you very much 4 your help but i want you to exsplaine how did u did it.
