Have you tryed QVC? They have [im not sure if they still have it] HP laptops that are good for The Sims. Try looking or calling QVC maybe. I bought my laptop not that long ago.
newegg.com and tigerdirect.com have good prices, but you still have to know what you want. Find others who play the same games you do and see what they recommend.
