2 Peter 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
It is not reliable to ask people to tell you what the bible says. Many people will make up stuff because they don't know what it says, and many will make up stuff because they wish it would not say what it says. You just have to read it for yourself. Read a chapter of Proverbs every day. Proverbs has 31 chapters so you can keep your place by just looking at a calendar. There is no religion or nothing in Proverbs and you don't have to believe anything. Just read to find comfort and confidence. When you are comfortable with that, then read the bible from Romans to 2 Thessalonians over and over until you start to remember what it says. That is the part that applies to Christians. Here is a book to help you to understand the bible. It's a free download and you can get a hard copy at any bible book store.

But to give a straight answer to your question, an inspiration from the devil will seem like the most brilliant idea you ever had until you think about it for a moment, and then you will realize that it is actually a stupid thing to do. For instance the serpent asked Eve "Hath God said ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?" That seems like a brilliant point until you ask "What in h*ll does that have to do with anything?"
Well, in the past God used dreams to give warnings instruction and prophecy. But the question is, is he leading his people in that way today? Can dreams that seem to impart special knowledge come from a source other than God?
Jer. 29:8,9 " For this is what Jehovah armies the god of Israel says, Do not let your prophets and your diviners who are among you decide you and do not listen to the dreams that they are dreaming. For they are prophesying lies to you in my name. I have not sent them declares Jehovah. ( So God reveals in his word the bible that, there is another source that these dreams can come from, and even lie and say they are from God) Something to think about. But knowing the answer to that question, knowing if God is leading his people today by means of dreams will help you draw the proper conclusion if you were to have a dream you think is from God.
Some references of dreams that originated from God found in the bible are at
Mat 2:13,19,20
1 kings3:5
Gen 40:1-8
The bible also indicates that it's writings are inspired of God
1Tim 3:16,17 " ALL scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching...that the man of god may be fully competent completely equipped for every good work.
So he is letting us know that all we need is the bible to know the direction and answers to questions. "fully competent and completely equipped" Would you be interested in examining the bible to see what it really teaches. I would be happy to assist you with that. It would be free of cost and at a time that is suitable for you.
