I have a boyfriend of 9 months. I am in the late 30s. He's in his early 40s. We met at an online dating site.
When we started dating, my bf used to talk about our marriage and told me he wanted to marry me in one year. We are approaching to our one year anniversary as a couple but my bf doesn't talk about our marriage so often anymore and we are not even engaged. He says he loves me and is very nice to me, but I don't know if he really loves me. I think he is just dating me because he's lonely. I saw his high school crush on FB and she's nothing like me. She's gorgeous, elegant, artistic, she's a girl that everybody notices. I'm nothing like that. I am a type of girl who sits in the back of the class, quietly reading a book. I was asked out on a date only for a few times in my whole life, I don't say I am so ugly that i should kill myself, but I am no way attractive at all.
I think we should break up, I don't want to be with someone who is dating me just because he can't date his dream girl. but I do love him so it will be hard for me to bring up a break up to him.
Does anyone know a good way to bring up a break up? does anyone have a similar experience?
