I play baseball and I'm a catcher. I was catching at my practice and caught the ball the wrong way. Its been hurting for a few weeks and I would like to know why. It hurts at the ball-shaped bone right before where the thumb connects to the hand. I'm not sure if it's a knuckle or not, but if I stretch my thumb in any direction I can feel it. Thanks.

it might take a while for it to mend jamming it will cause all kinds of different things that you might have done it probably has inflamation built up you might get something to take the inflamation out of it will allow it to heal thumb support orutis kt would help maybe ibeprofen would help also if it doesn't get better have your dr take a look at it
Thank you for your answer. Yea, I don't think it hurts enough to take Ibuprofen but I will take it easy.
