It ached a bit today as I walked around on it during school. I also can't let it touch anything when I lay on my side or it will hurt. I'm usually okay with pain. I think it will be fine and go away on its own, but that is what I thought when I hurt my ankle too. I ended up on crutches cuz I tried to ignore the pain but ended up causing more damage. I don't want this to happen with my knee too. Should I worry about my knee? Or will it go away on its own?

You need to take some vitamin C every day. Any bruise indicates a deficiency of vitamin C. Vitamin E will promote healing. You can swallow capsules, or you can get "Pure Vitamin E Skin Beauty Oil" (be sure it says "Pure") at the cosmetics counter and rub it on the skin. Vit E has to soak in, so put it on when you can leave the skin bare for a while. May as well get some beta-carotene too, just because almost everybody needs more vitamin A than they get. Beta-carotene is a safer form of vitamin A. Study some books about nutrition so you know stuff like this.
