I don't like sauerkraut, I just want the health benefits it provides. So if I probably killed all good bacteria because of cooking it, is there a chance leaving it for another day will let the bacteria reproduce? Or should I just eat it anyway hoping for some benefit from this failed first attempt.

Heating won't kill the probiotics. Boiling will. They are living organisms.
Except for a microwave. That will kill those guys for sure.
I do take supplements, however I did read somewhere that homemade sauerkraut has many many more living organisms than even a whole bottle of probiotic pills. Plus with the pills you can't be positive there's any bacteria alive in there, so it's good to supplement and eat probiotic foods.
Your problem is that you are soliciting advice from strangers concerning ideas that you made up based on things you heard or read "somewhere". You need to study books about nutrition so you can act on your own knowledge.
thx for your answer, but unfortunately it doesn't answer my question. If the benefits are harmed due to cooking, is it completely ruined when looking at the benefits? And if so, would leaving it out ''refermenting'' work to gain the bacteria back.
