I have a 91 toyota truck v4 xtra cab and the speakers are getting pretty bad what kind should I get? Mine are starting to crackle it only had 2 small speakers in the front of the car. I use the speakers mainly when i play my ipod through them and now that they are going bad i want some new ones and my friends are telling me to get new ones in front and add some in the back seats of the truck also. But keep in mind this is a very small truck and i like my hearing so i dont need anything that will make me go deaf just want something in addition to the two in front or 4 new ones but i know nothing about speakers or cars so i hope someone can give me some good information

You need to know a few things before you decide. First, the size of the speakers. You typically have 6inch circular speakers or 6x9 oval speakers. If the holes in the doors are large ovals, you can get either, as you can buy an adaptor to make 6 inch circulars for in the 6x9 hole. Second thing you need to know is watts. If your radio is stock, I would look into between 100 and 300 watt speakers. Any more and they will not run efficiently. Any less and you may blow them. Third is channels. If you do not have speakers in the back now, you will need a new amp. You will have to run wires/drill speaker holes and it will just be a pain. I would recommend going to walmart to look for what you want, but go to amazon and you will get it cheaper.
