I have my Security 40hr Class D certificate from 2009, I can I still use or has it expired?

normally they have a expiration date on it which you have to take the class and renew the licencse

Depends on the state, such as in Florida, the class is good for two years, then you have to renew it through the state. Best option would be to contact the licensing agency and see how often you have to renew and how much it is
