I have dyslexia and ADHD. I was tested for dyslexia in 1974; after being tested, I was officially diagnosed with dyslexia. I have was diagnosed by a psychiatrist in 1998 with ADHD.
I took the ACT Test in 1985 (senior in high school) and scored a 14. Unfortunately, I did not receive the opportunity to take the ACT Test with Extended or Unlimited Time. Fortunately, I worked my through community college and earned an Associate’s Degree in Business. This helped me in getting accepted to a four year University; subsequently, I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Education with a 3.63 GPA. Next, I earned a Master’s degree in School Administration with a 4.0 GPA. I strongly believe that I would have scored a significantly higher ACT score if I would have been allowed more time on the test. I want to take the test again with extended time to get an accurate picture of how the ACT test time limits negatively affected my academic profile.
According to my ACT Test Research there is not an age limit on taking ACT Test. What is the next step in the process? Do I gather other all of my documented data and simply register for the ACT Test with extended time?
