Hi all, I am 21 and a Teaching Assistant in a high school. I have been suspended from work pending an investigation. Apparently, it is due to a safeguarding issue. Basically, I work with disabled children and they were doing letters in an English lesson. My pupil was unsure of how to format it, and so i demonstrated. I wrote a letter to her, with a false address and talked about general topics. I included that myself and other TAs were available to offer her support as she is going through a hard time at home. She wrote a letter to me which included NOTHING of a safeguarding matter. They have suspended me because i failed to raise my concerns. A) I didn't have any concerns otherwise I would of raised them and B) the letter was put in the bin and therefore the school haven't seen it. I am not a member of a union and I really, really need some advice. I am certain I have done nothing wrong and I have been getting bullied by other staff members and I am convinced they just want to get rid of me. I NEED to win this case, my whole future is at stake. I am only 21 and I am sure they are using my age and are targeting a vulnerable person. ANY advice would be muchly appreciated, and anyway of 'taking them down' in the meeting. Thank you so much.
I have been suspended from work, can someone give me advice?
