I have submitted my drivers license and passport as proof that this is not my signature. On the date of the document, I was not even in the state; I had gone across country for a relatives funeral. What rights do I have?

The right to obtain a lawyer and,to have him present during questioning. I'm guessing you waved that right already. You gave them your ID. Without more info a lawyer is your best bet. If you can't afford one, ask for one from the judge, if charged. Without knowing what the document was, best I can do. You can always sue the forger. Cops should arrest them, if you can prove who.
