This family has an odd situation. I am 20 with about 8 years experience and I am in school for child development and therefore know lots about children. I also am not the type of nanny to just watch the kids, I actually play with them and make sure they have a good time. The kids are 7,15 and 18. Don't ask.
The mom is a single mom and doesn't have a huge budget but has asked what I would charge to watch all three of them for 24 hours while she is gone. I really don't know what to charge as I am used to nannying for either a full day or 12 hours, or doing long weekends or weeks with families on vacation and they normally give me a set rate for those long weekends of like $500 or so. My hourly rate fluctuates depending on what the families can afford. Currently, the lowest hourly rate I get is about $12 an hour and the most being $25 an hour.
So what should I tell this mom the amount would be for 24 hours??
Thanks!
I have been asked to nanny 3 kids for 24 hours, what should I charge?

Well nevermind then.
Thank you for your reply. I agree that it should be a few hundred. Unfortunately, she has offered $65. And she said she has someone else to do it for that price if I don't want to. So it was either take the $65 or don't get paid at all, so I took it but needless to say that I won't be working for them again.
Thank you for your help!
