... cruge' maple. It's a very hard wood and has withstood the test of 50 years usage without any problems. It is 'very' heavy'. I've googled it and have had no luck locating it. I may very well have the spelling wrong but it was pronounced as kruuge or similar. Any ideas on what I have here ? It's possible that kruge is the name of the company that made and sold it
