... months. It wasn’t until I looked in the mirror and noticed a dark line going down my belly button. I never had any symptoms other than some weight gain. I had no idea until I took a pregnancy test two days ago and saw that it was positive. I’ve been smoking and I skip meals a lot and I’m worried about the baby. I called a few OBGYN offices and they can’t see me for another 3-4 weeks. I want to go to the ER to get checked but everyone I’ve asked said that it’s not necessarily an emergency and to wait. I don’t feel right about this at all and I want to go to the ER because I can’t imagine waiting another month to be checked out by a doctor. I have insurance so the cost of it isn’t my concern. I’m just not sure if I’m going to look silly coming in for that. I’ve never been pregnant before, but I’m sure I’m pretty far a long by the look of that dark line. I can’t imagine waiting a whole month just to see if everything is okay. Will the ER be able to do anything for me?

When you've called to make an appt with an obstetrician have you mentioned there is a bit of a rush since you might be 7 months along and have never seen a doctor? Have you let them know why the rush?
Are you sure your insurance will pay for a non-emergency ER visit? Do you have a co-pay? I'm guessing you dont use it much so you may not know.
Call the drs back and tell them why you need an appt soon. Somebody will fit you in.
