This has been happening to me since I was about thirteen, I've never really talked to anyone about it. I guess I'm embarrassed about it, but I would like to know if anyone else has this problem or knows what causes it. My latest one was last night I woke up but I wasn't in my bed I was on the ground working on a semi truck, and there snakes and spiders all over my body, and my boss was yelling at me telling me to get out of there but I couldn't move untill I felt my blanket then I was back in my bed. It makes me feel so crazy, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well Cody they are several reasons that you are having nightmares. One of them are that you are eating late, and then after eating you go to sleep. Another reason is that someone in your family or someone close died or had a tragic accident and you are thinking about it too much. Relaxing your self is an idea to not to get nightmares. Just relax and think of good things not bad things. Hope this helps.
A recent study turned up the observation that people who play a lot of video games have nicer dreams that other people. The fact is a dream is you telling yourself stories while you sleep, and anything that improves your control over your own mind improves your life in general, pretty much without regard to what you had for dinner.

What you're experiencing is called a "false awakening" where you think you have woken up but you've just actually gone into another dream (or nightmare). Many times, when you've had an intense dream you can have hallucinations right as you're waking up, when your body isn't fully awake yet and your brain is still partly dreaming so that's why you sometimes experience the last bits of your dream while you're waking up. I'm sorry to hear you're having awful nightmares though. There's this forum called dreamviews.com you should check it out. I am confident it will help you figure out how to deal with your sleep and nightmares. Good luck!
