... for standard deviation I subtract each sample from the mean, then I square those answers and add them all up and divide by n-1 and then square root the final answer again. But I keep getting the wrong answer, am I square rooting the decimals wrong or??

Sometimes your calculator can square root/ square things wrong (I know, it's betrayed you, you trusted it). If you square a negative number, it becomes positive, but if you do this on a calculator, it remains negative. I don't know why, but it just does, I promise.
Other than that, I don't know where you're going wrong. Sorry if this wasn't helpful in the slightest :3
