Firstly try a System Restore. (no need for internet connection:
" Open System Restore by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button.
In the search box, type System Restore, and then, in the list of results, click System Restore (choose the latest restoe point.Your PC will make one of these nearly every time it installs windows up dates)
Administrator permission required If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Secondly Download the Realtek wireless Driver:
You’ve to download the Realtek Wireless LAN Driver by connecting your computer directly to your router which has internet connection, with the Ethernet cable and go to copy the download file on to your computer using a flash drive.
(An ethernet cable has at each end a 10mm wide by 5mm high by 15mm (approx) clear plastic plug with 8 contacts on its upper edge (known as a RJ45 plug)
Go onto the internet and go to Realtec Download Ethernet Driver
Go to the Realtec download site ( Google "Wireless LAN drivers - Realtek")and select the driver for your Computers Realtec card (go to your computers "Device Manager" (use search if you do not know where!) and select "Network adapters"
Download & install as per any other program.
Hope this helps
I'm having a good morning, Only progress to downloading & installing drivers if System Restore does not work. It does not matter if you do, and you will have the latest drivers, but I just want to save you more work!
Sorry for any confusion!!!
Oh my gosh thank you soo much. The system is restoring but when it's done I'm sure I'll figure out what an Ethernet cable is. THANKSS I thought it would be screwed up forever!!
Just noticed you have a HP Pc. Go to their support site & answer the model number, operating system boxes ect for the support section & get the drivers there.
I have a link on the way for you but its stuck in the Ask Questions spam filter for approval.
