may have an infectious disease to explain some wounds that had appeared overnight. As normal, a culture was taken and I had to wait about a week to hear the results. During the week, my supervisors learned that I had been advised of my possible condition and sent me home from work in which I was only to return to work once I produced a doctors note saying I was okay to work.
I learned several days later when I received the results of the culture test that a test for the infectious disease was not performed and that an entirely different test was performed. Obviously, I was frustrated that I had no idea if I ever had the disease but was advised by a doctor that if I did, the antibiotics I had been taking would of taken care of it within 5 days (I took them for 7 days). I asked the doctors to write me a note to return to work and they did. The next day I reported to work and produced my doctors note to my supervisors. Several minutes later, my supervisors informed me that the note was not sufficent and that in order to return to work I would need the doctors to write a note that states clearly that I have no infectious diseases. Obviously, no test for infectious diseases was performed and even if it was the doctors are not willing to write that statement due to liability issues. At this point not test for the infectious disease could be performed unless I still had an open wound which was not the case since my wounds were almost entirely healed. I explained the situation to my supervisors who then explained it to the managers who then explained it to their bosses. The highest point has directed my supervisors to not allow me back to work until I have a note stating that I was free from infectious diseases which stands right now. Of course, this will not happen. Please give me ideas and suggestions...
I have a fairly complex situation concerning my return to work. I was advised by a doctor that I?
