I have a dental visit coming up, and I'm terrified?

It's not so much actually being in the dentist's chair per se, but it's the fact that I'll have to be in it in front of others.

I'm still in school, and we have a mobile dental clinic that comes around annually. It's a pretty small van, with just enough space for two dental chairs and a couple of people to stand around waiting for their turn. There aren't any curtains or anything, so everybody can see what's being done to you and hear what the dentist has to say. It's this that worries me, I'm incredibly self-conscious.

Does anyone have any tips? Thank you in advance!

I wouldn't worry about what other People see and think. If you're really worried you could brush your teeth and floss a lot before the dentist visit. Or if you're scared of like the dentist or what ever saying that you have a cavity, you could always tell them to speak quietly.

Everything would be alright. By the time you would be visiting your dentist, in a while, the next thing you'd know is it's all done. It all boils down to the right dentist and dental clinic. I go to dentistsatnorthgate.com because everyone in there is just warm and friendly. Other than I always have my needs met, the clinic is just what I have always had in mind. I'm thinking the mobile dental clinic could be different, but the services offered by my dentist is just the same. All dentist's goal is to keep your oral health, including your teeth healthy.

There is nothing to be terrified about visiting a dentist because in this modern technology with some advanced equipment, you do not have to think about pain and if you have any severe issues that can be fixed by the experienced dentists. Yes, this fear is very common. I too was very nervous during my dental consultation which was for whitening my teeth. Appleton Dental clinic in Whitby was the clinic where I was consulting. Treatment was painless and I was made to be in the comfort zone because of the friendly behaviour of staffs out there in the clinic.

However, they are not scary at all!
