I'm a father of one now and I have a 8 yr daughter and she already tells me her chest is itchy and feels odd. I looked it up and what she tells me her breast are starting and I need to know when and how to start her on a training bra?

Most girls are very excited to start wearing a training bra because it means that they are growing up and what little girl doesn't want to grow up :) it depends on the child but usually around 11 yrs old they will start wearing them. One of the first signs to look for is if her shirts start to look " pointy". Some families like to start a training bra and deodorant at the same time so it is easier and the child can understand that her body will be making changes but it is completely normal. If you don't want to jump straight to a training bra, you can start her off with a tank top under her shirt first so she gets comfortable with something else on her. Then when she gets a little older you can introduce a training bra/sports bra to her.
A training bra has no particular physical benefit, it is mostly for psychological support. It's ok to wait until she mentions that her friends are wearing bras. It is also ok to take her to the big department store at the mall and see what the clerk says. While you are there, get the schedule for make-up seminars. That's how girls learn how to use make-up.
I told my mum when I got those signs and she got me crop tops. This was two years ago now and all I've wanted for a year is a padded bra like all my friends. I've got bigger boobs then all of them. Ask her to reader her way she wants every 2-3 months within price, and if she suddenly changes her mind and wants a bra, let her. It's really upset me not having a bra. So please do what's best for her xxx
