It cannot overlap the original picture and could I see the work used for it? To be clear, 6-11cm painting I need to make a border for that is all the same thickness from a rectangle that is 4-7 cm

6 x 11 painting
area of 4 x 7 rectangle is 28 sq cm
perimeter of painting is 2 x 6 + 2 x 11 = 34 cm
28/34 0.8 cm
The border needs a thickness It must be less than 0.8. Try 0.75
4 / 0.75 = 5.33 5 strips each 7 long 4 strips for the long sides leaves only 7 cm
Try 0.5
4 / 0.5 = 8 strips each 7 long. 4 strips for the long sides and 4 for the short sides makes a border only 0.5 cm around the painting, but leaves lots for overlap and gluing
OK, thanks!
