I have a 5 year old son who's been waking up at night and has been having nightmares for 3 months now, and he's not been able to sleep for more than 2 hours. Just yesterday night I heard him screaming, "A GHOST IS HERE! HELP ME MAMA!" and I am really concerned about him...any tips on this? He is diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia, and has been notified to being with ADD as well.

Soothing him will make him forget about his nightmares. You should probably ask him what kind of a nightmare he had and he will tell you...if not, then just tell him that it was just a dream and it wasn't real. I've had this happen to my brother J.J. and he's all grown up now (15 yrs. old), and he's told me that nightmares only last a few minutes. Maybe for you son you can give him some warm milk to let those thoughts away...and it works! Good luck and tell him I said hi! JK! LOL!
