I have 1988 mustang that needs cats. I have a BBk h pipe. Can I splice cats to h pipe?what kind?

I have the stock H pipe. Is it really beneficial to buy an aftermarket catted H or just buying high flow cats and replacing the stock cats.

Not unless you have other upgrades to go along with that larger aftermarket exhaust.

On my Mustang, when she was basically stock, I installed an off road H pipe and a larger 2.5” mandrel bent exhaust system.

I didn’t see any improvement in my ¼ mile times. Not even a 1/10 second of improvement, or 1/100 either.

The stock exhaust isn’t as restrictive as you think.
