It feels strained. Anyone know why ?

According to the Nurse I asked on your behalf, they probably caught a nerve with the needle whilst taking your blood sample. How long will it take to heal, as long as it takes is the answer given. Make sure also that your arm is not red & hot to the touch because this would indicate infection & must be looked at & treated by your Doctor.
Just to reassure & as Kangaroo said, there is nothing unusual with your arm (for both his & my own reasons given). I agree with his experiences from my blood donnations! (does this count as part of aversion therapy to your condition?!)
If there has been, it could of been giving bad blood to the cells, get it checked out.
