I go to a mental health program and I like one of the therapists there and he knows it. What do I do

nothing, that sort of interest won't end up positive.

His job is to help you and you misinterpreted his help as affection, just finish the program, get well and find something else out there

If you really really like him and think he might like you, then you could talk to him about it. Although you have to be okay with finding another therapist because going back to him might be ~awkward~.

First of all and most importantly it is illegal for a therapist to date a patient. It's unethical and the therapist knows that. If the therapist were to follow through the therapist could go to jail and lose their license.

Secondly, a patient is vulnerable and if a bond is formed and trust established a patient can view it as romantic when it is not. It is called transference. The patient transfers feelings they had for someone in their childhood onto the therapist. Therapists are trained to understand this and deal with it.

You keep reminding yourself the goal is good mental health not dating and marriage.

It's a very normal thing which you're going through . Just finish your treatment and tell him you like him and start over a new life.
