I get a Social Security check every month because my dad passed away when I was little. I am now 18?

...  years old and still in school. I live with my mother and hope to get on my own soon. My mother has stolen my check and I can not get it back. She said that she will let me sign it only if I agree to let her keep all my money. What can I do to get it back and isnt this against Fedral Law?

What you can do is call the Social Security Administration and ask them to send the check in your name to your bank account by direct deposit. That way no  body will ever have access to your money.    p.s. good luck & good life,
