Engagement ring advice.
My partner has gone out and bought me a ring and is planning to propose. He doesn't know that I know, I found it in the cupboard. Over the time we have been together I have sent hundreds of photos of the ring I want; a traditional white gold band with a single Diamond in the center.
When I found the ring I was in shock, who was this for? why has he chosen this? how did he manage to get it so wrong? He has picked a ring with diamonds in the shape of a flower, it looks like a little girls ring you would get out of a coin machine.
I feel like such a horrible person saying that and have cried hours upon hours trying to convince myself it doesn't matter.
I honestly don't know what to do. I'm considering going out and buying my own and giving it to him and saying propose to me whenever but use this ring. I don't know if I could ever tell him I don't like the one he has picked.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

You could tell him you found the ring and say that i'ts not ideal for you, as it's not your style. It's best if you be honest with him instead of him proposing with the expected ring that you don't like.
I hope this helps, and don't make things harder than they should be, the truth is always the best bet.
