My laptop froze in the middle of the night, and usually it would still be responding perfectly fine for days on end. I forced a shutdown using the power button. Usually, it would take me to the login screen after I start up again. My laptop screen is completely broken, but I connect to the television via HDMI. Normally, I wouldn't see anything until it reaches the login screen, where I type in my password and use my laptop on the television. However, after starting it up, it hasn't reached the login screen. I assumed it was some sort of booting menu and I pressed enter; my laptop shut down for a second, and I don't know what the problem is. Of the 3 lights on my laptop, the power/battery light remain normal. When I press enter on my keyboard, the orange-yellowish light blinks, and then the laptop shuts down. I don't have a boot disk either. I really hope there is another method of getting to the login screen. I've tried the F8 method, but how can I navigate the arrows to the desired action if I can't see the screen? I really hope it won't have to come down to getting another laptop because I have a lot of precious files in my laptop. I'd appreciate any help.
