Ok it has been a long time since i used MSN or windows, i am assuming your using windows otherwise let me know, but I have some suggestion you could try. The first one is to go to
On the Tools menu, click Options. (If the menu bar doesn't appear at the top of the conversation window, the window frame may be hidden. Click in the upper left corner of the window, or press ALT to restore it.)
In the left pane, click File Transfer.
Under Save received files in this folder (is where all the files you received so far should be, to change the location...), click Change.
Locate the directory you want to save your incoming files to.
Click OK.
Click OK.
I'm sure this will do but if not try to actually search for one of the files you remember receiving (Start - Find - type in the name of a file you remember receiving), now if the search comes up with the file, it will show you where it's location is and that's where the rest of your received files should be. The second suggestion is that get one of your contacts to send you something and as they send it, it will either ask you where you want to save it (in which case as you go to change it, it will show you the current default location) or as it downloads it will show where it's downloading. Good luck
