I don't have the same reaction as everyone else to horseradish or onions.Horseradish doesn't burn my nose, no matter how much I eat. It tastes spicy, but that's it. And onions have never made me tear up, even if it's really strong. It affects my nose a bit where it smells strong and can burn just my nose, but it's the same way I feel when I cut up a strong clove of garlic. Is there a reason for this? Are my sinuses not working properly? Or is it similar to poison ivy in the way that not everyone reacts to it?
