The hair is going to grow back just the way it was. neither should it become denser, nor should it exceed it's maximum length it had so far.
The only reason it might look slightly thicker or longer is that every hair that's been cut has lost its thinning tip. When it falls out, the new hair will have just the same thinning tips as before, with all the other baby-like qualities. Unless you are a pubescent teenage boy. Then, the first sentence is not a joke.
