This is the storyline:
this girl is like 16-18 and her father abuses her, and one night it gets too bad (he almost strangled her to death) so she and her mom run away, with the aid of the girls grandparents, on her fathers side. They stay with the grandparents for the night, then carry on and travel. They end up broken down I think on the road, and the girl sees a wolf transform (who ends up her mate) and somehow she passes out. she initially does not know about werewolves but her mother does. her mate is an alpha who helps her be more comfortable and everything
