When I was very young I broke my toenail on a brick. My mom told me to just wait for my toenail to grow and I can pull the broken nail off. I waited a couple of years and I didn't see any growth. When I finally pull off the broken nail I found out that my nail had been growing UNDERNEATH the broken one. Now my toenail is very thick and it still has pieces of the broken nail that I couldn't pull off. It's been a couple more years and I still can't see any grown in my nail. Did I break a part in my nail? Is there something I can do to help it? Will my nail ever grow and be normal again?
